PHYSICAL THERAPY

VACUODERMIE & PRESSOTHERAPY (APPLIED TO PHYSICAL THERAPY)

Pain and the resulting loss of physical function are the primary motivators for patient’s seeking physical therapy. Physical Therapists have an arsenal of treatments to treat pain and soft-tissue injuries. Now there is another tool to help therapist improve patient function and achieved treatment goals.

Physical therapy reserves a special place for Vacuomobilization which combines the mechanical effect of movement in given pulls and directions, and the effect of aspiration according to a pressure chosen as a function of the type of wound or lesion which are to deal with.

Pressotherapy, a double of gradience vascular compression treatment, reduces lymphatic edema.

Post surgical therapy techniques using both Vacuomobilization and Pressotherapy achieved optimum result especially in orthopedic procedures.

VAUODERMIE & PRESSOTHERAPY (VACUOMOBILIZATION – PNEUMATIC COMPRESSION)

Vacuomobilization creates a vertical stretch on the underlying tissue. This combined with massage and manual therapy techniques will increase tissue extensibility and lymphatic/capillary circulation in the underlying and surrounding tissue. This in turn will decrease pain and improve function and allow therapy to progress to therapeutic exercise and muscle reeducation to restore the proper balance of flexibility and strength.

Vacuomobilization can be combined with massage techniques including stretching, kneading, pinch and twist and skin rolling.

Benefits include increased circulation, flexibility, metabolic function, strength, coordination, endurance and a decrease of pain. Benefits to therapist include increased client commitment to treatments, client progress and a decrease of physical effort to achieve better results.

VACUODERMIE & PRESSOTHERAPY TREATMENTS

KINEPLASTICS
Vacuomobilization and massage targeting fibrosis are inseparable. For this type of therapy we try to emphasize the fibrosis area, to avoid either the retraction or the pathological scarring.

PHLEBO-ANGIOLOGY
Vacuodermie reproduces the effect of effleurage or sliding manual maneuver.

MYOFASCIAL PAIN
Spasm. Scarring. Inflammation. Tension migraine.

NEUROLOGICAL, PHYSICAL, HORMONAL
Migraine.

STRESS DISORDERS
Anxiety. Depression. Insomnia. Digestive Disorders.

RHEUMATOLOGY
In the case of myalgia, utilization of sliding Vacuomobilization along the muscular fiber is followed by a stationary Vacuomobilization over the maxima zones. Application of this procedure essentially in cervicodynia, Scrapulo-Humeral periarthritis, coxalgia and lumbago.

SPORTS TRAUMATOLOGY (MUSCULAR LESIONS)
There is a passive mobilization associated to the lesion in the stretching direction of the injured muscle, trying to regain its maximum stretching potential.
